Hotel Information for Wedding Guests

I have reserved a block of rooms at the Ramada Limited off of I-80 and Hwy. 50. This seemed to be a great location - just down Hwy. 50 from the wedding site. The Ramada Ltd. has a swimming pool, free breakfast, and is walking distance from a Cracker Barrel, if you need more breakfast options. :) The nightly rate for each two-queen-bed room is $64.95 + tax, and rooms can be reserved under the "Owen/Scoville Wedding" group. Rooms must be reserved no later than July 28, 2006 (two weeks prior to the wedding). More information about this fine lodging establishment can be found to your right, under Links.

Here comes the bride...

When's the date? Where are you getting married? What are your colors? How did he propose?

This is all I've heard since we announced our engagment about 6 months ago. Not that I'm complaining. Being engaged rocks! I'd stay like this forever if it wasn't for all the work that goes into these wedding preparations.

To answer, the date is Saturday, August 12, 2006. The ceremony and reception will be at Soaring Wings Vineyard in Springfield, NE. Our colors are plum and light blue - we're having a 'wine' theme. How did he propose? Beautifully. After dinner on the anniversary of our first date, we took a gondola ride to the middle of the Heartland of America Park. As the cascading water from the fountain was lit up behind us, he asked me to marry him. And I answered, "Are you joking?" OK, he caught me a little off guard. I was expecting, but not expecting, this moment. I said "yes" right after that, I swear! The ring was beautiful, perfect, breathtaking, and absolutely me. This will always be one the happiest memories of my life.

Enough with all this sentimentality today - there will be plenty more to come, I'm sure. We started this blog to keep our guests informed about the wedding going-ons. Please check back in often for more details.
